Summer Tutoring
May 27 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

This summer, the Coyote Branch Library and the Downtown Buckeye Library in Buckeye will host summer tutoring sessions for young students.. Both locations offer quiet, safe environments perfect for focused reading support. The Coyote Branch, located near Verrado, features private study rooms and a children’s section stocked with leveled readers and phonics resources. The Downtown Library, just off Monroe Avenue, provides a central location with easy parking and helpful staff who support early literacy goals.
The summer tutoring program is led by two certified elementary teachers who live and work right here in Buckeye. With experience in early childhood education and classroom instruction. They specialize in helping students build strong foundations in reading, comprehension, and phonics. These sessions are designed specifically for children entering Kindergarten through 2nd Grade, and are aligned with Arizona’s early literacy standards.
The tutor personalizes each one-on-one session to match the child’s reading level and specific needs. Parents will be able to choose from flexible time slots throughout the week at either library branch. Sessions will include hands-on literacy games, guided reading practice, and take-home strategies to encourage continued learning between visits. This is a fantastic opportunity to prevent the “summer slide” and give your child a confident boost heading into the new school year.
Slots are filling quickly, so register early to secure your spot. All materials are provided. And both locations are family-friendly with shaded areas and nearby parks if parents want to stay close.
